The Sonic Impact and Teac 700P both sound "grainy" and lacking in low-level resolution compared to the Samson Servo 260. The Red Wine Audio Clari-T would be a better comparison, but I haven't listened .......

These are not "audiophile" amps by any stretch - especially based on price. ;-) These are simply pretty decent sounding "pro" amps with sufficient power for most home setups. I used mine for the surro .......

I don't think you need 1200watts per channel but.... I have the Samson Servo Pro 300 amp (150wpc) which I used for surround sound to the rear channels. It's a very good amp and much more powerful soun .......

The Adcom is not a bad option for the money... however, it is a little sterile/dry. it's got huge reserves and could fit your bill. The one thing that I don't like about the Adcom is their flawed cool .......

Well... I tried using the balanced outputs of my Mixer into the Samson Servo 550 and you are right, Old Audio Guy, there's a slight difference, a slight more powerful but still not much volume differe .......
