On a budget, I would definetely give a listen to studio amps from ART (SLA-1 or -2) or Samson Servo... they deliver clean watts, and are rugged. Good for your maggies. They can be had new around $200= .......

ART SLA-1 is for real and a BARGAIN at around $200. Lots of information here in the archives. Didn't have the same reserves but I thought it comparable in sound quality to my Parasound 2200II. I still .......

If you are looking for good amplification on a budget, look into "studio-grade" amps. For around $200 new delivered to your door, you can find something that will be more than up to the task at drivin .......

Thanks Peak. I took a look into it but unfortunately, it does not feature RCA inputs. My pre-amp does not have XLRs... But the ART looks good. .......

You know that many swear by the Behringer Europower, right? For less than $200, I would give it a try. With Maggies, the only two pro-amps I have tried were the Samson Servo 260, which was all right ( .......

Dana 1's are a great value at ~$250 new; I bought a pristine pair off ebay for $95. Don't forget the infamous ART SLA-1 amp. Another inexpensive little gem. You can still get them for ~$200-230, new. .......
