Based purely on the timing of a recent Press releases , the equivalent SD-4000 model should be SD-270e. Last year's model is probably the SD-260e based upon the colour (silver) and the timing of the .......

That amount of capaicitance can result in significant current (really "charge") stored on the cap. Search on the Tweaker's Asylum for "line filter" AND Risch. 0.47uF is plenty. PeAK .......

Most of them are rated for 12V and a lot of them are targeted to lowering the noise of existing fans found in PCs. Take a look at silent pc review ...should be fairly straightforward for any good rep .......

The SD-4990 (or SD-K860) is the next model up that adds video upcoversion (potentially improved resolution for existing DVD), SACD and DVD-A to the mix. Not sure if the chipset is still by Zoran and/ .......

Adding a 75 ohm termination to unused co-axial and composite video output jacks definitely improves things. In the picture is the lest expensive moulded (soft) plastic that is pressed fit to the RCA .......

Try powering it "off" and then "on". The Toshiba rememembers where you were on the disc. Ditto for "STOP". Seems to work for me and I think it is related to the higher heat generated for playing movie .......

Puli, I got a similar problem with my NAD after I switched to CAT5 cables. In my case, the extra capacitance cause the amplifier to become mildly less stable and run hot. This resulted in the mounting .......

HD-12 may seem like "gilding the lily", but the a larger diameter wire with a different sheating(yellow verus orange) alter the sonic signature of the extention cord based design. Have you tried the s .......

Chris, I guess "three" could liberally be described as "many". Some others have come over from using the likes of cables from Omega, Straightwire and Nordost . As for the CAT5 camp, we have: Myself .......

Pturn...how long are your cable runs to that you need 50 feet ? In the worse case, it would be 25 foot single to each speaker OR a 12 bi-wire to each speaker (2x12). Generally I think it would be bes .......

Chris, just thought I mention that the female phono inputs on the SLA can take regular RCA cables if you use RCA to phono adapter . Works fine despite additional interfaces and can be modded easily sh .......

My sources are single ended RCA and so are my cables. The SLA-1 has Phono jack inputs (like the ones that take headphone) so you can take an RCA femalale to phono male adapter (Radio Shack has them) .......

TJE, Not too long for initial burn-in providing you get the directionality right. Do a search on my posts with the word "directionality". Over the long term are smaller incremental improvements. PeAK .......

By more of the "same"....I do not mean price. I would have happily spend up to 3x amount that I did to get a warm and rewarding detailed sound. The 3950 is not perfect (items 7,8 and 9) as you can see .......

Another amp from the pro-gear field...this model is closer to the Servo 260 in power output and has a relay protected output stage that is bullet proof. I use it as a single channel integrated amplifi .......
