That's the way mine is,works fine. If you don't corner load it,you will need 2 cabinets to equal 1 in the corner. You can't use a LABhorn with just one driver without redesigning the horn.Then it woul .......

If you can tolerate the size,a LABhorn would do the job.Although the spec on the driver is 87.4 db, the LABhorn cabinet raises it to 106 db or so. You can build one for about $500. May the bass be wit .......

I use my LABhorn nearfield in a corner closet.Helps to compensate for the time delay of the sub.It also disappears when you close the door...(when not being used,of course,or the door may dissapear!he .......

Hi,Tom! The LABhorn is a most excellent sub,but not the ideal shape for home use.I would think that a corner loaded version,similar to a K horn, would be more acceptable to more people.Less than 4 fee .......

You can wire the two drivers in series if the low impedance is a problem. I'm reading 110-114 db at 1 meter with the 4 watt output LEDs just barely flickering on my Radio Shack level meter,playing ZZ .......

The LABhorn is actually a 1/12 of a full horn at 26.8(?)hz,so six of them will give you a half space horn.(out in the middle of a field) Corner loaded,one or two cabinets should have the same effect.I .......

Haven't heard the 802's,they are said to be better than the 808's I have.(511b) I recently picked up a pair of JBL 2441's,and turned a pair of 345 hz round Tractrix horns.IMHO,a worthwhile improvement .......

It's good to hear the LAB12 drivers work well in a smaller cabinet.A good alternative for someone who doesn't have room for the LABhorn. The LABhorn moves a LOT of air!!! Mine is in a closet at the ba .......

My latest experiment was to add extensions to each horn to double the area of the mouth,making it equal to the mouth of the LABhorn. It worked,goes down to 30 hz before rolling off.Still more power th .......

Tom's jbls worked very well... I use a LABhorn with my A7s...great for music and HT...you can play as loud as you want(probably louder than your wife will allow)and not have to worry about blowing the .......

I remember seeing a picture somewhere on the internet of a Klipschorn made out of plexiglass...A plexiglass LABhorn would look really cool. At about $15/sq ft for 3/4" would be a bit pricey though... .......

You could use one driver if you build 1/2 of a LABhorn,45"x45"x12".You would then need to extend the mouth to twice that if you want it to still load to the same freq.I don't think you would ever miss .......

We're all nuts here,some more than others...I used A7-500s before I built the round horns.A7s are great,but a bit weak in the bass,especially for movies.A LABhorn will solve that nicely. .......

You can use horns in a room your size. I'm using Altec A7's and a LABhorn sub in a room 13.5' by 16.5' by 8'. They are on the 13.5' wall, and work just fine.Maybe not as well as they would in a larger .......

A spectrum analyzer or sig gen and spl neter would be the best way,but adjusting by ear will work,too,but will take a bit longer. Start with one channel with a mono signal,adjust the xover freq and le .......

If you don't mind the room they take up,there's no problem...They would probably be better in a much larger room,but they will still do better than a lot of other speakers in your room. I've used mine .......

Remember,LF horns are HUGE!!! There is a limit as to how small you can make one and still have it work properly.:-( There just isn't enough room inside a car to do a proper horn.:-( Don't know how the .......

Hi! Glad you liked the A7's...FWIW,here is some info on my speakers: 416-8a,808-8a,800 hz altec crossover,the 511b's were sprayed with 2 cans of undercoating,the webs were cut and filled with silicone .......
