Grado-s do not hum due to the wiring issues, but due to the lack of shielding, or someone may say Grado-s do not hum, unshielded motors, transformers etc. cause the hum in the Grado-s. Similar to a sh .......

I was in the same boat not too long ago. I chose the grado because of musicality and warmth of sound. I have never tried the Dynavector, but it is a better tracker and has no hum compared to the grado .......

Think analogue; think hum/distortion, etc. Regas (P25 and down), are unshielded and hence "hum" even with some of their own cartridges. Don't blame the cartridge - blame the turntable. .......

Not sure when you bought yours, but the Green 1 I have is known to hum, but only on some tables. There is a list of which tables it's found to hum on, or not and on the Rega tables where Grado has bee .......

Grado cartridges are prone to hum pickup because they are unshielded. Any turntable with an unshielded AC motor, including Regas, may have "high" hum levels when used in combination with a Grado cartr .......

Grado cartridges have "good sound" but excessive hum when used on turntables that use unshielded AC motors. My backup TT is being serviced. One of the changes will be the removal of an old inexpensive .......

Not to contradict anyone, but Grado carts are also basically unshielded, which is why they have such infamous problems with the also unshielded Rega tables. FWIW, I tried a Grado on a Technics SL-BD 2 .......

Try a Grado. I've had a Planar 3 for 12 years and tried the Blue Point Special and Rega Elys. I prefer the Grado Signature 8 and the Grado Platinum. You will have to determine, before you buy a Grado .......

I think it's more about the placement of the motor. TT's with inboard motors are more likely to induce hum from those Grado's that tend to hum. Of course, shielding does help to mitigate the problem. .......

I have used a Rega RB300 for decades. The standard Rega arm will hum with the Grados, I believe due to the Rega grounding scheme. When I rewired my arm with the Incognito loom with separate grounding .......
