Marantz cd-63 or cd-67 can both be had at a reasonable price used, and there are tweaks for both listed at tnt-audio.com on the tweaks section. Good Luck. .......

One of my least expensive, most effective CD player tweaks is to procure a 6" wheelbarrow inner tube. Inflate to 3-5 PSI and place under your CD player. Balance the player on the innertube with a bubb .......

I used the AudioQuest CD rings for a bit. IT worked good on some CD's, and did little on others. It really was random, and probably had more to do with the CD media than anything else. The rings work .......

I remember when I first tried this with an audio mate in '92 or so, I had a very cheap NAD CD player (it was my first player - I was a late adopter) and it did make a big difference on the CD I tried. .......

The CD player can produce a 2V output. The manufacturer wants you to present it with a load of 50k ohms or higher. The the input impedance of your preamp is lower then it may exceed the current capabi .......

My Sony Playstation 3 will play all the junk scratched CD's and DVD's from my local Public Library... It does a great job of Upscaling DVD's... It also is a great Blu-Ray player... There are cheaper .......

If you're trying to find some tweaks to isolate your gear, starting with Vibrapods($6 each, in several different weight capacities) isn't a bad idea. Oftentimes the footers on equipment can be removed .......

Agreed... we don't usually recommend the LClock as some kind of killer upgrade on DVD players for CD playback. It may help a little but not the same as you would get on a CD player. I'd say a bigger g .......
