Well it depends on where you look. I have seen some A/D/S speakers for the $200 range from the 90s which I love the design of. The Silver HGA cable I bought off eBay used for $50. My BDP-51FD Blu-ray .......

Awesome advice. Thank you so much for this insight. So basically if I buy an older surround sound receiver that doesn't have DTS decoding for Blu-ray, I can just use the analog outputs on my Blu-Ray p .......

I ended up getting the Denon AVR-3805 for $100. It's well built (although not as well built as the 5800), was $1000 just a few years ago and was in amazing like new condition (minus the remote). It's .......

It is mostly for political/ethical reasons, and partly for what I consider good build quality (for example I have seen nothing from China that rivals the build quality of my Sony Vaio Z which is made .......

Like what? Audiovector is made in Denmark, so is most of Dynaudio that I have seen as well as all the B&O towers, The KEFs I mentioned are made in England, BA and Polk Audio used to mostly be made in .......

I completely agree I should have, but the other seller was there first and beat me to it by 30 minutes or so. Can I find another pair for $250? Maybe in a year or two, but I needed some tower speakers .......

So I went to listen to the Monitor Audio RM952/MDs today. They look amazing, high quality and brand new looking with original boxes and manual, etc... Unfortunately he had a pretty old amp from the 70 .......
