My tubed pre-amp heats up my room faster than my air conditioner can cool it down. I spend a lot of time in the nude and I'm still sweating! I like fall and winter better that is when my tubed equipme .......

I haven't heard both phono stages. I have the Stealth and I also have the tubed phono built into my Rogue 99 Magnum preamp. For a high output cartridge, I think either of these stages will work fine. .......

I've only heard the Kontra 'a' against the Rohmann and IMO the Rohmann is way better than the Kontra 'a' (Rohmann on a 309/Gyro/CJ pre/100wpc tubed monoblocks/Epos14, Kontra 'a' on a SME V/Gyro/PS Aud .......

I would recommend a nice tubed phono stage like the Decware 2.0 $1100. and possibly a Vpi Scout and JMW9 Arm $1500. Vpi phono cables $200. a Dynavecter or grado cart should work well with this table/ .......

It's a lot easier to find a good sounding cheap vinyl rig than a good sounding cheap digital rig. A cheap vinyl rig will give you the benefit of the best sounding studio dac's more than an el cheapo C .......

I'll second Hukkfinn's suggestion to get a Dynavector 10x5, or even better, a 20XL/H. Your P3 is already a better 'table than any Music Hall. It has a better arm, better overall sonic balance, and bet .......

Perhaps. However, the fact still is that it takes 4 tubes per channel to get 56dB gain. Does it matter? Well, it does to those who prefer tube design (as oppose to SS) for its simplicity [=lower cost] .......

I don't know what you're using afa SS gear (amp, preamp, or integtated), but if you have the means.. why don't you try a tubed preamp (such as the foreplay)... nothing like the decompressed, holograph .......

A good transformer has almost no effect on the sound of the cart in my experience.I tried a lesser quality Xformer and it added a sort of veil to the sound that diminished the sound stage transparency .......

I would personally go for the Art Audio Vinyl One. The KK or Art Ref. is a hybrid, and the V1 is all tubed. I've heard the KK and I found it too dry for my taste. I prefered a fully tubed stage in com .......

Phono stages- I switch off between the Syrah phono stage and the BRB 20 preamp MC phono stage- The tubed Syrah is warmer and more-forgiving, the solid-state BRB has a tad more resolution, microdynamic .......
