I just have had that Grado in a box since I got the AR ES1 table. I think the Grado came on the AQ tonearm that I also got. I never really used the Grado since I used an Audioquest cartridge right awa .......

I was in the same boat not too long ago. I chose the grado because of musicality and warmth of sound. I have never tried the Dynavector, but it is a better tracker and has no hum compared to the grado .......

Grado is not known for its highs. The RB250 IMO is not a good match for a Grado. A Grado is happier on a low mass Tonearm. I bet you'd be alright with an Audiotechnica AT 440 or for more money a Dynav .......

I can't comment on the Sonata. But the ClearAudio Beta replaced a Grado Plat in my system...kicked the Grado's butt, BIG time, it did. Makes the Grado sound like it has fur on it. Much better tracker .......

Substitute a Dynavector 10x5 or 20xH for that Grado, and you will see what your Rega can really do. True, the mids produced by the Grado will be slightly better. But the lows and the highs coming from .......

I had a bothersome hum with my P3 and Grado Gold. Lessened the hum with a Mu metal disk. Ended the hum with a Denon DL-103, which was cheaper than the Grado and sounds better IMHO. .......

I just picked up another used turntable and it has a Grado cartridge with a navy blue body (and some silver near the back of the cart). The front of the cart has a big "G" and the word "Grado" right b .......

Have been using Stylast and LAST Preservative for decades, most recently with Grado Reference and Grado Platinum. Absolutely no problems except for the too-high cost, which keeps going up. ::: TOPIC:: .......

I haven't seen one of the old white Grado Sigs in several years. Can't even remember the model numbers. I'm guessing you have one from the late 1970s. You might want to call John Grado at 718-435-5340 .......

I had a mystery Grado come on a used TT that I picked up and couldn't find out anything about it. I ended up calling Grado and Joe answered the phone. It only took him a few seconds to answer my query .......

There a lot of post on forum about others having issues with Grado cartridges and certain tables. What was sad was that the Grado I had was quiet in the grooves and a rally nice mids, way better than .......

I had a Grado master reference (something like that -- the $800 one) on my P25 and it was unacceptable. The problem was that there was no punch, slam, oomph, whatever. It just sounded extremely LAME .......

The answer depends more on your phono stage. Besides the high (5mV) and the low (0.5mV) options, Grado will also make a medium output (1.5mV), which is a good match for medium-gain tubed phono stages, .......
