My Rek-o-Kut is far noisier to begin with anyway than the Lenco ever was. Other than that, the speed is spot-on and the build quality superb. Haven't had a chance yet to get started on it, as I'm stil .......

The Rek O Kut is an easier, less involved project as the tonearm is mounted on the plinth, the only Lenco like that is the L 88, which is sometimes referred to as the poor man's Garrard 301 or 401 a .......

I've been running mmf-7 turntables for over four years and still think they are a fine turntable for the money. I haven't had the problems Tom mentions. If it were me I'd keep both turntables and put .......

A Rek-O-Kut belt drive will scratch. I bought one that had been used for that, and I still have the slip mat around here someplace. That old Rek-O-Kut has unbelievable torque. .......

I was looking through an Allied 1960 catalog, and the Rek O Kut B12H was selling for $119. The Garrard 301 was $89. Who has a T12? Uses the EAD motor. This is one deck I have not seen a post on. Jonat .......

Ours are belt driven, but when we finish, they will be string driven. Rek-O-Kut made a variety of idler drives, and at least one of them uses the Papst motor, but most do not. .......

Ken As far as the original arm, it's most likely not worthwhile to work with, some Rek O Kuts may have other interesting and sometimes even reletively valuable arm so don't pitch it. As far as a Rek .......

Not to be tediously repetitve, but how do I remove the 45rpm pop-up on a Rek-O-Kut Rondine? Mine doesn't pop down enough for the surface to be flat enough to try alternate mats. And it doesn't pop up .......

If you are willing to settle for an early 60's TT then the AR-XA is the one for you. If you are intent on a TT from 1960 or earlier, the obvious choices are either a Thorens TD-124 or Garrard 301, bot .......

If you mean the Rondine B12 or B12H, the mounting hole in the metal top plate is meant for the rek-o-kut arm. You can use any arm you desire by mounting the table turned so that the speed knob is on t .......

I do not remember my father's Garrard Model 98 throwing out this much vibration from the motor through the unit. Maybe I have missed something. Deleated a capacitor or something to make the vibrations .......

I ressurrected this table from my Dad's loft in the barn. He had mounted it in an old Victrola cabinet. That had long since gone but he at least saved the Rek-O-Kut. I just cleaned , oiled and mounte .......

I'd vouch for Rek-O-Kut also. L-34, L-37, LP-743, all the ultimate in simplicity. I use 6 layer plinths alternating MDF and birch ply. I've put the speed control knob on the far left to get it as far .......

the 45 rpm doesn't work with or without the Walker. Any ideas about why this would be the case. Also, you're right about the Walker throughing the turntable into a tizzy. Somehow the speed of my Rek .......

Here in the US they were $89.00 in 1955-56. By comparison the Garrard RC88 Changer was 59.00. Other good tables of 55-56 were the Scott 710 at 99.96 without base, the Presto T18 at 108.00 without base .......

I have two Rek-O-Kut Rondine deluxes and they are excellent. In my experience they are superior to the revered Garrard 301 and Thorens TD 124 both of which I also own.(I know I will probably be stoned .......

I use a variac all the time on my Rek-O-Cut, it comes in handy when playing various 78's that run at different speeds. I've never noticed any negative effects on performance, quite the contrary. ::: T .......

Mark, This is a Papst motor that I harvested out of a Rek-o-Kut B33H. The voltage reduction doesn't seem to have affected the torque. it has tons of it. I cobbled up an outboard motor drive to test it .......

Sounds like everything is right on track, even if the motor has shorted windings Rek O Kut Idlers are still plentiful and reasonable enough that you could get a donor for the motor and spares. ::: TOP .......
