Well, if you could find a JVC 7045, that would mount perfectly. It was a nice arm JVC sold back in the late-70s and early 80s. It will work fine with the Denon 103. People also used Stax and Micro Sei .......

IIRC, MOFI did purchase a few of the JVC stamping machines. They do not, however, use the JVC vinyl formulation which is a bit harder compared to most. According to RR, JVC had the hardest vinyl, Amer .......

Ed covered the JVC motor unit lineup, the JVC QL line included a JVC plinth and tonearm. Unless it's a Japan model I havn't heard of the TT11. Like wise a Technics SP-10Mk2 would be preferable to the .......

Do you have the motor's model number? I once saw a picture of the Goldmund motor that looks similar to the one in the JVC QL-5 or QL-7 and this is before JVC moved on to coreless motor. Here's an exam .......

Looking at my JVC TT catalog does not give any indication other than all the tonearms are of JVC design. The QL-7 was/is one damn fine TT and the only one in the line up with adjustable arm height at .......

I bought a JVC ALF3 in 1986 when I was still in high school. It's a fully Automatic Direct Drive P-Mount Turntable, but it still works perfectly and sounds great. I may eventually upgrade when finance .......

I did some research into this for a friend who ha a Studietto with the jvc motor that had an issue. Definitely NOT the same motor as the QL5 or 7 they came out years before Goldmund released the studi .......

The one with the vacuum hold down is called TT-801 and some (such as inmate "Travisty") consider it the best JVC turntable. Unlike the TT-71, it uses JVC top of the line coreless motor and electronics .......

If you are limited to those three, the Kenwood 500 is the best, in my honest opinion. It is more the equal of a JVC QL-7, but the overall plinth structure is much better that JVC's particleboard solut .......

That's a damn good tonearm if it's what I think it is. It came standard on the QL-10, the best turntable JVC ever built. It worked well with their MC cartridge along with the Denon 103 back around 198 .......

Both of these vinyl formulas seem to be reffered to as "the quietest vinyl in the world". Quiex is relavtively a new thing (I think) but that JVC stuff was developed for CD-4 in the late 60's/early 70 .......

Marcia over at Reference Recordings verified that JVC vinyl was the hardest. RR switched to Teldec after JVC closed down but Teldec uses the softest vinyl and the LP's tended to pick up pops and tics .......

Victor is another name for JVC (Japan Victor Company), used in Japan and perhaps other countries. Don't know if the model numbers correspond, but you might look at JVC tables for a similar model to ge .......

I am a JVC fan so I am biased and naturally my hunch is the JVC at top, followed by Denon and then Technics. Of the three, I have owned the SP10mk2. And I prefer the sound of cheaper JVC and Denon ove .......
