1: Has anyone compared Acme and Hi Fi Tuning fuses? (16.33)

I'm looking to replace some speaker fuses and some fuse connections in a few vintage tube amps. I'm planning on using the Acme fuse holders where applicable, but I'm unsure about the best fuses to use .......

Thank you all. After reading all your comments I contacted the vendor I had previously purchased fuses-The Cable Co. They said the same thing. HI-Fi Tuning fuses are held to much tighter tolerences. S .......

I've been using Walker SST routinely on mine, figuring that since it does a good job with regular fuses it probably does with the HiFi Tuning fuses too. Audiophile logic at work :-) .......

I've compared the Hi-Fi Tuning and Isoclean fuses against each other and much prefer the Isoclean. Isoclean are available from AAudioimports.com for the same $25 per fuse. Just an FYI in case you real .......

The Hi Fi Tuning fuses will not blow unless overloaded. I have used them in numerous applications with no problems. I would not substitue a slo blow for a fast blow fuse unless you are willing to deal .......

I can tell you that I had them zap an ordinary Buss fuse along with IsoClean and Hi-Fi Tunning fuses. The IsoClean remained the best fuse, but the Hi-Fi Tuning and Buss were improved. .......

Hi Sam - I always use either SST or Quicksilver Extreme Gold contact enhancer when installing the HFT fuses because most fuse holders are stamped out with poor quality metals and any help you can give .......

I guess this may be tweaking to the extreme but more recently I have learned how critical good quality power affects the sound and the fuse holder and fuse serve as a choke in power signal path reduci .......
