The T35 was designed to cross over at 3500 Hz. I would recommend at least 2nd order, unless you dont drive it hard, then you may get away with 1st order. The T35 itself is rated at 5 watts RMS. ::: T .......

The difference in efficiency is pretty audible when you ask a T35 and T350 to compete with something like an Altec 802G/811 combo. The T350 doesn't get lost and the T35 can. But besides the increased .......

My Cornwalls have 2uF in line to their respective T35's. Add or subtract capacitance to taste, being carefull not to crossover too low. Possibly pad with Radioshack's 25 ohm wirewound potentiometer? .......

Bobby The T35B had a smaller magnet than the T35, and thus less sensitivity: about 101 dB for the T35B; 104 dB for the T35; with 107 dB for the T350. You have the nominally correct DCR for the 8 and 1 .......

The old T35 are pretty fragile, the new ones have better lead terminations. I would replace both, that way you know that they will both match, and you should be good for another 30 years. .......

I cross the T35 from 5kHz with a 12dB Linkwitz/Riley filter. To get best performance, you have to measure the real impedance of T35 at 5kHz and compute this value instead of 8 ohms which is not true. .......

Peter, I don't have any info regarding the diaphragm but I can comment on the tweeters as I have been using them for many years. I had T35's and when I got T-350's, I could never listen to a T35 again .......

MRH You might want to try re-mounting the T35's on the front of the baffle board. It's hard to tell from the pics but the baffle looks to be 1/2-3/4" thick, and the T35 (as shown) has to fire through .......

The EV T-35 and T350 were only spec'd to 15k. The both roll off beyond that. I dont know what they put out at 20k, but its probably a good 10db below the reference frequency. I wouldnt worry about re .......

Well I tried a few different caps. I got a hold of a .22mfd poly cap, these let more treble through than you might think on a 16 ohm tweeter. The treble sort of matches with them in but seems like it .......

Ken EV's recommended crossover for the T35 was 3500 Hz or so (but this is a point of departure of course). The various variants of the T35 start rolling off around 5K or so, and as for 11K, well... "T .......

I made a home brew full horn system about 30+ years ago and ended up using the T35 vertical, sitting on the top of the mid enclosure and without a baffle. 12dB/oct @ 5K. The speakers were corner horns .......

The early 8HD horns were made out of layered fiberglass and EV gave that up because it was too labor intensive. They do look like some kind of moulded plastic so maybe that's what you have. The edges .......

I think I would use a 3rd order Butterworth around 3.8Khz or so to protect the fragile EV tweeter. For 8Ω try 3.3µF+0.26mH+10µF, this works well with the T35. .......

The gasket is part of the centering system, and a phase plug spacer. If you ruin one get two T35 gaskets from Great Plains Audio, or Bob Crites. .......

I agree that they roll off above 8kHz, but they do have usable response to 15 kHz. The trick is to cross them over higher, like around 10-12kHz. That removes a lot of the harshness. .......

One 1016 doesn't come close to a T35, not in sensitivity, power handling or output. I use 1016s a lot, but only in groups of between four and twenty-two. .......

I agree about the supertweeter. I fould my 802's rolled off above about 8k, so I added a T35 with a 1uF cap, and it added the right amount of bite to brass and cymbols. Without it, I felt the 'sheen' .......

That LS-8 must be "reigned in" to keep from shaking the thin front panel. Maybe that's one reason everything sounds so good (added musicality). I used a Dayton X02W crossover which matches up ok with .......

Yes. I have used EV Esquires which have a 12 LF, 8" mid and a T35 tweeter, speaker punches way beyond it's weight! Ditto for other speakers that use an 8-10" mid, JBL MR835 etc..... .......

I think you would be very happy with a pair of University HF-206 HF horns. They're regarded as some of the best. I'm an Electro Voice nut but I use the Univerity HF-206 in place of the T35's. Much bet .......

With an EV15W it sounds like you may have an earlier Eliminator. These used an 1823M on the 8HD at 800hz and two T35 at 6Khz for the top end. If these are for home use I could recommend a cheaper set .......

I think 11kHz is a bit of a stretch; 3.5 to 4 KHz would be a better match. The Eminence APT is a possibility, available with three different horns to suit your application needs. Well reviewed by Vanc .......

The ones from a reputable dealer are pretty good. The junk ones had too short leads and just didn't work well. Like someone already said here, the older T35's, 16 ohms probably, had some finicky paper .......

I love the Esquire and my homebrew variations of same. T35 good for entry level HE speakers but easy to improve upon. Try the DE35, it is a marked improvement over stock. I am eager to see how the Vis .......

The MG tweeter that looks a little like a 4" square clone of the JBL 2404 isn't too bad.Nothing above 14khz.Their 2x5 EV T35 clone is horrible.So is their DU80 mid driver,a 10dB peak at 2.5khz. ::: T .......

Rec. x-over on the Eminence APT-50 driver is 3.5K. They also have various horns to attach depending what you prefer. SPL:105 Range very flat from 3K -20K. Other candidates: E-V T35, T350 Min. x-over .......

The Fostex does not have as broad a directivity as the EV ST350 used in the Sentry III, nor does the T35 used in the Klipschorn. I question the review. If you want a better tweeter then use the JBL 24 .......
