If you want to use your NAD for the tuner, tone controls, and other sources I would suggest getting tube power amp. The Jolida hybrid has a tube pre-amp and SS power amp. If you go the route you sugge .......

I've gone SS pre into tube amps. Tube pre into SS amps. Passive pre into tube and SS amps. And no pre at all with my DAC directly driving a tube amp or SS amp. .......

I agree that there is no good reason not to use the Hafler SS pre. In general people tend to ignore the SS fre with tube power amp combination. The tube power amp will give you the tube magic regardle .......

The only tube experience I have is with a Jolida 502b integrated. It was about $1500 after extensive mods, and the sound is very smooth and enjoyable. Having said that, I am happier with my Accuphase .......
