About eight years ago I bought a Nakamichi receiver and Nakamichi cd player. I don't know what Nakamichi is doing now, but my sense 8 years ago was that they made good quality mid-fi (or low end hi-fi .......

The best of the traditionally styled Nakamichi receivers were the SR's. The SR-4 was the top of the line and I think the best of that look. The receiver1 / receiver 2 series were also fine perfromers .......

IMHO the Arcam AVR-100 is definitely the best on your list. It tops mine as well (I bought my receiver before the Arcam was available). The ones I would delete would be the Yamaha and the Harmon Kardo .......
