The downside for me at the shows, is when the exhibitor is playing an amazing track, so much so, that really I want to know what it is, but the guy has no idea. He can't find it in his notebook comput .......

You indirectly touched on one of the main reasons the format failed, IMO. After the Beta and VHS formats upgraded to Hi-Fi stereo recording/playback, around the early 80's, there simply wasn't any log .......
