Yes, EPA-250 tonearm actually consists of the same EPA-B500 base as the EPA-500 tonearm, but it is fitted with the EPA-A250 wand, the more conventional S-shaped tonearm that has interchangeable headsh .......

You hit it on the head! Compressed remixes are what makes the newer CDs so bad. The old ones have plenty of audible hiss from the analog tapes, but you pick your poison. For me, vinyl is the only way .......

I had a similar problem with my tt, even though I use an Audioquest static brush before every LP, and a zerostat. Hard to believe for me, but the problem occurred(and still occurs) whenever I play LPs .......

I also have a 306/200 and have liked the improvement w/the Absolute Power Cord, only $49 from GTT audio (search on audiogon, & read their feedback: it's mostly about these power cords). Much better so .......

Abe, I was thinking about the v12 for the same reasons and ended up buying the Rocket 88. I heard it demoed with B&W N801s at Audio Connection, and was amazed at how well it did driving them. Much bet .......
