Has anyone experienced cartridge hum with this table? I tried replacing the stock Ortofon cartridge with a vintage B&O SP12 and got hum. Also, I thought the cartridge does not appear to be a good matc .......

I would think that if it were a Chinese knock off that they would use their own cheap Chinese connectors instead of the Hubbell. I have owned some of the Chinese cords and they love to use the counter .......

The previous owner used several Conrad Johnson tube preamps with it and said they were a great match. It comes down to the output impedance on the preamp. The Conrad Johnson preamps are about 660 ohms .......

Both will work well. I ran Quicksilver M60s with mine. It's a match made in heaven. The Krell should be an excellent match also. Are you sure your speakers are working properly? .......

I agree with the break in time. At least 100 hours or more. The amp can also be part of the problem along with your cabling. If after 100 hrs or so it doesn't sound any better, buy decent speaker cabl .......

I agree. Unless you are running lengths of 3 meters or more or are using a pair from tonearm or table to pre/amp, shielding most likely isn't necessary. .......

Thanks for the reply. Cost is a factor. I would think that the WBT's with crimping tool would be well over $100.00, I would need 12 connectors (8 on speaker end and 4 on amp end. .......
