I reviewed one of those for Dagogo and I think Dudley did a Listening column on it. If you get by the fear of picking it up and sitting it down on the LP it was a really great tonearm. .......

I use the Audio Reference Technology Room Tuning Cones and L.F.E.. You can use the cones for specific frequencies and the LFE is amazing for the bottom end. I reviewed these and purchased them. ::: TO .......

A very good description of what I'm hearing also. I don't know why, but it goes away when I change out the Beldens for other silver cables or the magnetic cables. What I did not try was using the Beld .......

I love the handles on the back of the new Pass Labs amps. They make lifting 100 plus pound amps much easier to move. I don't get meters on solid state amps. The on on my Pass Labs 30.8 hardly ever mov .......

It's great, I have used one from time to time and have a good friend who uses one with a $20,000 integrate tube amp. NOS tubes are a must though, you won't believe the improvement. .......

Truth is some cartridges like SUTs better than others. If you are using something like a Benz TR it's a must. I also much prefer a SUT with the Miyabi Standard, the Allnic, and the Miyajima cartridges .......

The 2205 is an early McIntosh solid state amp. As good as current McIntosh amps seem to be and as great as the vintage tube amps are these early solid state amps were not even as good as the little Qu .......

I don't know how this unit compares to other autoformers, it is wound with silver and has some other special details. It cost around $6,000 depending on the price of silver, but I like it better than .......

I like two speakers unless you can put one in a corner. One place in a corner creates a nice space, but two speakers can float the music nicely in the center. You also get more volume out of two speak .......

I owned a clearaudio that cleans both sides of an LP at once. It takes me less than 90 seconds to clean an lp and it's not nearly as noisy as the vpi. I just clean lps that need it and I clean them ri .......

This is kind of what I've always thought, but this is basically the same range that the Tannoy and Altec crossovers their 15 inch low frequency drivers. Looks like JBL does so around 700. ::: TOPIC:: .......

Speakers usually are burned in on my TV system. I burn in power conditioners by plugging my computer into them and a table fan. I do all this after a first listen and then again a week or two later. H .......

My Wavac EC 300B ways over 60 pounds and puts out nearly 10 watts. I don't think there is much correlation. Some of the 47 Labs amps sound pretty darn fine and weigh almost nothing. .......

The sound you get from the Wavac is going to depend on the tubes you choose. Read my review at Dagogo and you will get an idea about the tubes. It sounds best with WE300Bs, but you might also try the .......

I would probably say no. There are certain people and certain systems that just don't seem to be able to tolerate digital. I fall into the first camp. My toleration for digital is that I find it fatig .......

I love the sound of that tube combo, but my favorite is the 300B/ 6L6GC combo used in the direct coupled Wavac EC300B. It is really a spooky real sound. .......

Think about it, more weight means the cantilever compresses more, and less weight means it compresses more which is why it effects both VTA and arm geometry. We are talking about small amounts, but if .......

Truth is you can use small changes in VTF to change VTA. If you raise the VTF of course the VTA is lowered and visa versa. You are right when you change one you change the other. By the way changing V .......

I have never heard your amps, but I can tell you the Wavac EC300B is much faster and more extended on the frequency extremes than any other 300B amp I have heard. .......

I own several SUTs, and overall as long as I have the right one for the right cartridge I love them. The Benz Ebony TR, Miyabi Standard or the Shindo SPUs all sound incredible with the Auditorium 23 H .......

I know the name doesn't scream high end but the Polk LSiM707s at around $4000 are a very serious speaker that would work great in your system. There are lot's of $10,000 speakers not this good. ::: TO .......

I have not used the Magus with anything less than 8 watts, but the Ingeniums work great with 2 watts. The alnico drivers can be had in 8 or 15 ohms. You should check and see which would be best with y .......

I have reviewed them with all three drivers at dagogo.com. I bought the ones with the Alnico magnets, though they all sound great. I like them on a hardwood floor or a maple block with the rear spike .......
