We just put a 12,000 BTU head in one room and a 9,000 in another. The exterior unit is a two ton unit, 240 volt, on a 25 amp breaker. The units are extremely quiet. With your ear up to the units on me .......

Yes, I should have mentioned that messing with the power supply caps, and also the secondary power supply, made no difference. The noticeable improvement came with changing the output caps. Thank you .......

The new beryllium tweeters are outstanding, the best I have heard in a monitor in that price range. No brightness at all. Allow 300 to 500 hours and they will sound magical. It is definitely an improv .......

I think the discussion below is spot on. The same tube will sound different in different circuit designs. My Gold Lion 12AX7's replaced the Tung Sol reissues and they are cleaner, clearer and more dy .......

I have not heard the 302, but the new 502 CRC (not BRC) is very good. The extra power gives you more flexibility over the 302. I was able to hear the amp on a friends system, driving Harbeth Compact 7 .......

The cable itself seems built right, so I suspect the limiting factors in the Cullen are the connectors, which is understandable, as there has to be compromises when a PC retails $100 (approx.) and so .......

Well, the differences are no doubt system dependent. :) If your system has a rather aggressive output, then I think the Charmin will work well without muddying up the bass. .......

Most, if not all states put it into a "general fund" and use it for whatever they want: roads, schools, pay raises, etc. One of the justifications for such a huge settlement when they sued the tobacco .......

No new taxes and increased spending will get us out of the recession. There are signs now that we are starting to come out of it. When we do, that will be the time to cut back on spending, raise taxes .......

Living within a metropolitan area, your most important criteria should be "Selectivity" over "Sensitivity." Your tuner has to be able to reject an adjacent station while receiving your chosen station .......

Cooney is right about the oak. 3/4" inch oak (or any hardwood) will not sag with 24" in between support braces. Home Depot has good prices on red oak. A mill/lumberyard will have a better selection of .......
