I agree with the OP. Bought a re-issue a few years ago and the recording quality is horrible. It is so compressed as to be unlistenable. I expected much more but this re-issue is in the trash pile. : .......

I received a tip from a gentleman over on the vinyl engine. It worked. I wanted to oil the bearing and needed to remove the inner platter. And if I ever need to take the table apart for repair I will .......

I have heard the Nighthawk SE in my system compared to the Jasmine LP2.0 SE and it was no contest with the Jasmine clearly superior. This is also the opinion of three other guys there for a vinyl sess .......
