that price doesn't make much difference as to whether I'll hear audible hiss or not. It's all about the tubes and their condition...at least in my case. I've never had a Foreplay in my system though.. .......

Actually, I think they did...back then. I mean everybody I knew (at least in the 60s/70s) was listening to/trying to play like either Cannon or Desmond (including me). Vinson was certainly recognizabl .......
