I have two Minis and they make great servers and even better computers than a ANY windoze based PC. You can try an entry level priced DAC like the Music Streamer + for $300. For $900 you have a killer .......

The Decco comes with a basic remote. Input selector, vol, stand by, mute. I've seen better remotes. Nothing special but quite functional. .......

It's basically a connectivity thing that only presents itself if you disconnect it from the PC signal. If so, iTunes then needs to be restarted. Not a big deal or anything that would prevent me from s .......

The Nuforce Icon has three inputs (one is USB) 12wpc. I have one now in house and have been comparing it to the Trends unit (only one input). Bass and power on the Icon is great though I'm not sure it .......

Or to answer my own assumption, I also tend to agree with the 2BLP Pro vs 2BSST assessment which supports that fact that you can't say "Bryston" and stereotype as many do. Their models do vary greatly .......

I wouldn't use the term "beat" the Katans as the two are quite different designs and will appeal differently to people. The Katan has supeb voicing and pitch definition, no question. If you love vocal .......

The 5i has a AV processor loop to run your front 2ch, that's about it. Many integrated amps do not have this feature which allows it to integrate easily with a processor. .......

If you liked the 2BLP try a used B60 as you can sell it for what you paid and it is quite musical, has enough juice for the efficient Ninkas at decent levels though they aren't the most dynamic speake .......

Having recently demoed the new NHTs I have found that the NHTs are realy nice and nuetral to a little dry sounding which makes it easy for me to recommend something SS with a little bloom. I'd suggest .......

But I like the look of the Sounddock better. The iM7 styling is take it or leave it but for sheer musicality the Altec Lansing iM7 hasn't been beat by anything near it's price IMO including the Klipsc .......

I was about to post something on the iM7 before I saw you had already included it. The im7 uses the iPod direct output also which is much better sounding than the headphone output as shown in the DIY .......

I have owned the Elites as well, great speakers that really excel with the right gear. I think that the midrange tranparency of the source really needs to shine to blend seamlessly with the EMIT tweet .......

I haven't heard the 3BSST but I have a Bryston B100 based on the 2BSST/BP25 so I'll share a bit of what I do know. I am familiar with the sonic differences in the ST series and currently have a Brysto .......

I have the B100SST which uses the 2BSST amp stage. It has great nuetrality first and foremost. The highs are as extended and clean as I have heard in any amp. Great low level detail and tight, not tub .......

I have a set of MA Silver S1s and I think they are a great value. They are highly musical, have a sweet (not bright at all) top end and an open, large soundstage from top to bottom. They are very diff .......

If it's better sounding than the 2BLP it's pretty damn good in my opinion. Plus you get more power. The 2BLP is/was a great sounding amp. Really a sleeper for the money. .......

To generalize is all too common here. Even each Nait has it's sonic differences. Listen to the 5i. It is all it's cracked up to be and then some I have found. Way ballsier then the Nait 5 and much cle .......

Agree with Guth on the 5/5i comparison. The Exposure 2010 isn't nearly as refined as the Nait 5 or 5i. It is a highly musical amp however, great for rock just not a match for a Nait IMO. I think the 2 .......

I just replaced my Exposure 2010 with a Naim Nait 5i. Had to get back that Naim thing after owning the 5. For rock I have to say the 5i is the way to go since it is more powerful than the 5 and doesn' .......

I have owned both and prefer the 1072 even at a higher cost. I think the separation and quiteness of the 1072 are major strengths as is the natural top end. I don't think the 1072 sounds like the trad .......

Agreed. The Nait 5 is certainly more refined but the Exposure manages to communicate just as well. It's bass and the way you can follow a bass line are just superb on the 2010 and probably it's best s .......

Just FYI. I bought the Toshiba as a inexpensive stand alone player for my AR Complete. The Toshiba through the Panny via PCM outputs is well beyond what the Complete could do even when fed by my Naim .......

I can get plenty into a REL Storm III through its RCA inputs. Do you have the subwoofer output level on the Panny turned up high enough? I don't need much gain on the REL to get it swingin at the same .......

As long as the lower bass rolls off on the nOrh you should have no issue running them on the large setting. I think you will get better, larger staging on that setting as long as the nOrh's bass stays .......

The main reason the Panny is a good value is due to the direct digital path provided through its digital inputs. Analog is average in comparison. It will get better and should not remain harsh through .......

Agree with all of your points jonbee. It is suprising to me how good the AV-1 (AVMS version w/old x-over) is. It clearly outperforms most speakers I have owned besides the P1 which is indeed quite spe .......

I actually have the center from AVMS. Same midbass drivers x 2 and the GR tweeter. I have 4 AV-1s. The center is great as well. .......

I think the P1 and the AV-1 are very similar where it counts. They both have a majical soundstage unlike I had heard before. They sound a lot alike. I do prefer the focus and detail of the Focal tweet .......

I too have owned both speakers and my findings are that the two speakers are very different as well. The Axioms have a very (too much so for my taste) laid back midrange and a overtone in the tweeter .......

The Primare A20MKII fits the definition in a SS integrated. I feel it is an outstanding product at $1500 list. The Roksan Caspian is also warm but I owned both and prefer the A20MKII. .......
