The Auralic Aries does DSD 256. I think though if you are using HQ Player and your DAC supports it, it doesn't matter as you can use HQ Player to upsample up to DSD 512 for the DACs that do it. ::: TO .......

Abe, your comments on the Cary SA 200 are interesting. I am currently using a Krell FPB 200c with a Cary SLP 05 and found the combination still a bit too harsh in the highs - just a wee bit with tube .......

The source is a Micromega transport with a Mark Levinson 36 DAC. Both are on the analogue sounding side. Cables are also reasonably warm - Cardas and NBS. .......

Coincidentally, I was considering moving from Dynaudio Contour S3.4's to Harbeth SHL 5's. I find the Dynaudio's to be impressive sounding and very resolving but in the long run it can become fatiguing .......
