I am using one in my bedroom system with a pair of Tannoy Mercury M1 speakers and an Arcam Blink. I am constantly amazed at the sound quality. At 30 watts per channel it won't knock the house down but .......

I used the Belles Aria with the VLR's for more than a year. They work really well together. The drive that the Belles provided to the VLR's was really amazing and hard to beat for the money. ::: TOPIC .......

The Mimas seems to mate well with almost every speaker I have heard with it. So far, Harbeth SLH5+ (mine), Vandersteen Treo CT and 2ce Signature and Proac D30r. If you heard it at the Audio Connection .......

As you are using a SS Integrated amp currently you might look at the Ayre AX-7e. It's a great amp that you should be able to find in your price range. It has been discontinued by Ayre so used will be .......

I agree on the reliability issue. With my V4's they were solid for 7 years. I changed the small tubes once and played around with various power tubes but never had any issue with the amps. Quicksilver .......

I tried a set of Gold Lion KT88's as well as the Tesla's that were already in the unit. The Gold Lion's are much nicer. They have a see through quality that the Tesla's can't match. .......

I am listening to a pair now. They don't have the drive of the V4's but the midrange is better than the V4's. They sound similar to the now discontinued QS Triodes with better dynamics and they drive .......

I have owned the 5's (not 5A's) and the cloth Quatro's. They both have their strengths. In a large room the 5A's are a better choice, but the Quatro's are very good as well. I find the 5's to be more .......
