I am happy to report that I was able to get my Pioneer SA 600 up and running safely! Surprisingly enough the Tech I found did not replace any parts! He just did a very through cleaning inside and o .......

Don't have Variac or a DBT,but if it looks safe enough to plug in then I will try plugging it into a surge protected extension cord! Seems like no one here has ever owned or remembers owning or hearin .......

Am I being over cautious by not just wanting to plug something in? I mean I have on much newer electronics,that look fairly clean etc. I myself would feel much safer if I at least took the wooden case .......

Here's a link I found that has the specs! I figured for $12.00 I could sell it for more then I paid on our local Craig list,etc.for just the speaker plugs alone,as they command a crazy price these day .......

I just recently found at our Local Goodwill a Pioneer SA 600 Stereo Integrated Amplifier. From what I read online it is from 1971 -72 vintage.It is only 19 Watts per Channel with a THD of 0.5%. I was .......

It has worked well for me on certain vintage pieces that I have used it on,with out losing any lettering etc! I would not use it on a clear glass or plastic dial plate though!But everything else so fa .......

I have used Awesome Degreaser from the Dollar tree which comes in a plastic spray bottle.It sprays on a yellow color & works quite well,for most Faceplates & switches etc!Have not lost any letterin .......

Had the cabinets opened & it is a decent little Speaker inside that is stamped 3 ohms 9 watts Max. I was really impressed with it!Does not sound bad for a full range speaker! I was just wanting to try .......

I have JVC PC-XC20 all in one portable that is rather nice for background music outside or even indoors on a shelf or table!According to the specs in the owners manual I can assume that,the amp in it .......

Well I tried them out last night with another Yamaha RX 500 U Receiver I had! I set all the Tone Controls to what Yamaha claimed was flat including the Loudness. I hooked up a Magnavox CDB 502 C .......

My main CD players are Magnavox's from the mid 80's on up! All still have strong Lasers! I have other CD Players from the 80's early 90's where almost all of them seem to have good solid Lasers yet & .......

Thanks! If you look at the knobs & buttons on both pieces ,they are 100 % Sony from the early 70's!Even the dial lights up green and looks again just like a Sony from the early 70's!So Sony definitely .......

A friend of mine who worked for Radio Shack said they were made by Yamaha for them,but did indeed use cheaper drivers!Mine use different Drivers as well compared to the NS-A636 except for the Tweeter! .......

Well I did try them on my Superscope amp,which is not very powerful,being only 7 watts rms per channel.But listening to Lawrence Welk's Band did sound quite good!I would have liked just a little more .......

Today I got lucky at our local Goodwill Store and found a working pair of JBL Lancer 44's! I only paid $19.99 + tax! I hooked them up to my Superscope A-235 amp,as it was readily available! I was quit .......

Love the looks of that cabinet!Would look good almost anywhere as well!The Tunner,Amp,Speakers etc.also look to be decent as well! I myself would rather have good sounding Mono over poorly done stereo .......

C-Quam is the Stereo broadcast standard for AM in the USA. Adopted to late by the FCC very few Tuners or Receivers were made for home use for the USA Market!The best sounding AM Station I think is ZOO .......

With both tone controls on my Pioneer SX 737 set at flat according to the 0 mark on the Pioneer SX 737 & tweaking just the Mid range & the High Frequency controls on the Speakers it is sounding qui .......

I agree about the tube ideal!I also think Samsung has a lot riding on this as far as there reputation is concerned! That is why I decided to give it a trial listen(I have 30 days to return it,if it do .......

Never heard those speakers myself,but the Fishers sure did make Frank sinatra come alive and that was on CD.I can not wait to hear how good it will sound on the Phono input! .......

I have a The Fisher 800 B that has the best sounding AM Tunner I ever have heard or owned! I want to get it rebuilt up to specs before I even think about daily use! .......

Most people over look the SS Fisher receivers especially the ones from the Avery Fisher era rather then the Sanyo era of Fisher products!Most just collect the Tube era Fishers,but the SS Receivers are .......

Yes!But it works very well and sounds good to my ears! It has JVC's ANRS instead of Dolby.Looks even better in person then that Internet Photo I found!Built like a tank,with very little if any plastic .......

I thought just like you did at first that it was a mistake! I never really cared for Metal or Chrome tapes that much because I mostly played cassettes in my portable Mono ZENITH Tape Recorder or in on .......

I think I read about that too!He made 2 LP's for Warner back in the 50's where he recites song lyrics while jazz type music is playing in the background!They were reissued on a CD by Rhino Records and .......
