Not all amps have the same gain factor. If your 40 watt amp supplies considerable current, that translates into power on the coil, too. .......

I use IDEAL brand duct seal for this application. (I'm frequently swapping tweeters.) This stuff will hold most any driver up to 6 1/2" in diameter. Beyond that, I suppose it will allow some movement .......

If you're using multiple amps, the Outlaw M2200 is good below 3000hz. Above that range, it may not have the most refined presentation. They're considerably less money than the options you have mention .......

Was this disclosed prior to purchase? A crushed dustcap may not affect the sound of the driver (compared to the radiating area, it is pretty small) unless there is a break where it seals. If it wasn't .......

These have an excellent midrange response coupled with an agressive metal dome tweeter...the frequency balance is therefore "tilted" toward the higher spectrum. What if you were to experiment with aim .......
