I made a set using freeze plugs, and chrome ball bearings, as I don't have access to an engine lathe. I recessed three plugs into blocks of maple, and cast the other three in a small plastic bowl mold, using polyresin. The improvement was not subtle. The real pain came from having to grind and then polish the plugs because a part # was stamped on the inside. I think you'll hear an improvement regardless
of which way you go.... So....Go fot It!!! and enjoy
