What is the meaning of 'Hospital Grade'?

I notice that some of the 'ordinary grade' & 'hospital grade' power-plugs of the same brand (e.g. Hubbell) look very similar.
What's their difference? Is there any sonic advantages? Are the high prices of the 'hospital grade' versions justified?
