I would suggest you look at the Concentra II as a pre-amp only and keep the Model 2 amp. I am using the original Concentra with my Model 5. In his new stuff (including the Concentra line), Jeff has made significant break throughs in silence between the instruments, much blacker blacks in the soundstage. The problem is, he has lost some of that tube warmth that characterized his sound for so many years. I found using the Concentra as the pre allowed me to get much better soundstaging and detail without having to trade off the warmth of his older equipment.gjg
