Wally Malewicz recently became very interested in USB microscopes and he found a brand that has measurement capability. His has only 0.3-Mega-Pixel (640 x 480) resolution and cost $250. He told me that the 1.3-Mega-Pixel model cost something like $450. Check out the website at the link below.
Wally's main interest is to use the measurement capability to adjust VTA and SRA. He feels that SRA is most critical and should be set to 92-degrees for optimal performance with the vast majority of LPs. Here are some pictures that Wally sent to me of his XV-1s and also the new XV-1t phono cartridges.
