This is an arc protractor. You simply adjust overhang until the stylus follows the arc. Then you adjust offset angle until the cantilever and/or cartridge aligns to the null-point grid lines. An arc type protractor is one of the easier types to use. Furthermore, it comes with excellent step-by-step instructions.
