....has the hole off center. When watching it spin, it is easy to see that the recorded surface is wobbling from side to side. When I play the tracking tests, I get the same results you describe. The buzzing 'bounces' from the left speaker to the right speaker, back and forth. The recorded surface oscillates in perfect time with the noise bouncing from speaker to speaker. You might want to observe your test record while it is spinning and see if you can tell whether or not this is happening. The off center hole is apparently not an isolated issue with this test record.
