Bought probably the dirtiest table I've ever picked up at a garage sale last week, good news, it was a buck. After about 30 q tips and a handful of paper towels and some alchohol and warm soapy water, out of the grunge came an almost new looking table. Cosmetically.

There seem to be a couple of operational problems,

1) The speed changer is stuck in the 45 position. End of story. Not the slightest amount of give in the metal knob that resides over the plastic speed fine tuning wider "knob". I've Slick 50 Super Lubed it from the top and also WD 40'd it from the bottom, carefully wiping away escess to no avail.

There are three levers on the right. One is for cueing and works smoothly and perfectly.

2) The middle one is for manual play. When I pull it back, the table spins at the 45 speed, but when I release it, the table stops. It doesn't "lock" into place.

3) Most importantly, the left lever, for auto play and stop, will not pull down to the "play" position. No give. It will however, go up to the "stop" position.

For problems 2 & 3, I've done the WD-40 and Slick Fifty thing.

The automatic mechanism works fine when I manually rotate the table.

Lastly, does the platter come off? It won't budge when I try to lift it off.

I only paid a buck so this isn't a desperation repair. But its a pretty and unique table that I'd like to add to my collection. Any thoughts welcome, \\thanks, DLD
