I haven't taken the body off my 10X4 yet, mostly because I've been swapping it into a few different arms recently and that's a scary enough task without further exposing the cantilever by removing the body. The Dynavector importer, who I think is a straight shooter, says that nuding the 10X4 makes a significant improvement. It makes sense that it would, the body is more or less a decorative hollow piece that might resonate to airborne vibration. its easy enough to do, just remove the 2 round head screws attaching the body and slide it off (note that once you do thsi you've voided your warranty). You might post a question about this on the Dynavector conference web site.
