I just went from a Grado Platinum to a Dynavector 20X-H (the high output miving coil) and am very pleased. I knew the Grado was rolled off a bit at the top end, but I never realized how gritty it was also. The 20X-H puts out 2.5mv and I don't need a step-up. Great extension and smoothness on top, and it has a very good midrange. Maybe not as lush as the Grado but still warm and inviting. The bottom end is definitely not as full as the Grado, but it is tight and extended. It takes a little VTA tweaking to get the bass right.Enjoy,
Bob
