Hi Carlos,
I have copies of the Sulzer and the first Walt Jung superregulator.
But before that I desingned my own regulator circuit; somewhat similar to the Jung circuit. I tried avarious opamps like OP27, AD 817 and others, but never the AD797. I do not use pregulation, because when I did I had some problems: the two regulators working "against" each other.
I omitted the large 100mufarad feedback cap. With such a large bandwith circuit oscillation is always possible especially when the pass transistor is a emittor follower. By somewhat slowing down the driving IC and ferrite bads in the base of the transistor I have a working non oscillating circuit that pleases me. I do not want a double circuit board or upgrade. And I do not need low drop out because some 5V is available to drop. The difference in sound of the circuit powered by a regulator using OP27 and AD817 is very small, so I thrust the NE 5534 is also usable.
I first made my superregulator to get a very low noise supply for my phono circuit and was very surprised the line section sounded better using this supply. Walt Jung gave the explanation.
