One area I think the point-to-point has an advantage, over PCB, is upgrading of internal parts. It requires more care to upgrade parts off of a PCB. In a point-to-point design, most everything is upgradable down to the wire used.

As far as sonics are considered, I have heard tube gear that uses PCB that sound wonderful and others that use point-to-point wiring which I felt did not float my boat.

I think the bottom line here is if you are not the DIY type individual then either PCB or point-to-point should be fine. Let your ears tell you what to buy.
