I've done an archive search on the topic but am still a bit confused re basic rules, if there are any, on matching pre-amp input impedance (tube in my case) and power amp output impedance. Specifically, I have an MFA Magus tube pre-amp with 3k ohms input paired with a Classe CA-100 ss power amp with a 75k ohm output impedance. Should this be OK? This combo sounds good with perhaps not the deepest or tightest bass, but could I have a more compatable match-up? Speakers are Essence Gems (2 way transmission line, 6 ohm). Could anyone clarify? Thanks!
