RCA had on of those "not invented here" approaches to the 6DJ8/6922. They designed their own version of the 6922 and called it the 6FW8. They're fairly rare, but you can find them NOS on Epay once in a while. If you keep your eyes open you can buy single 6FW8's for $10 - $12 each. But, if you find somebody selling pairs or quads of them the price per each goes up pretty steeply. The 6FW8 is a very nice sounding tube and is a direct replacement for the 6922 in virtually any circuit.
