place two hexfreds on one leg going to one side of the rectifier tubes on the lead before the tube from the power transformer and two on the other lead coming from the power transformer. Anode to cathode and anode to cathode on the the two hexfreds. These take the brunt of the rectification and the tube rectifier further smooths and lends its "sound?" to the system. After the tube rectifiers you place a thermistor in the path that leads to the capacitor, if the cap is larger than reccomended. In my case these are 1200uF. Cary does this and so does Quicksilver Audio. I told Mike at Quicksilver about this a few years ago and he now uses this system with his amps. The rectifier tubes last just about forever.ja in windy, clear and cool, Tucson, home of the madcap drivers, AZ
