I have searched this and other forums but can find no reference to Silk transformers from SAC Thailand. I have supplied a link to their hand-wound output transformers, which has another link near the bottom of the page to some transformer tests. The test uses their first S325, which, according to the proprietor, has since been upgraded twice and is now known as the S325 Fi.Although I have never heard of them before, I took the plunge and have recently received mine with optional aluminium end covers, which, in their words, ‘apply even mechanical pressure over the whole surface of outer core to improve stability, appearance, and will not short magnetic circuit field of transformer’.
I may buy another well-known brand at a later date to enable me to offer some valid comments about their performance. Even a general web search turns up nothing, so I’d been keen to hear any comments – maybe someone here has used them.
Ciao
Steve
