New Joan Osborne album really bites

I have and like all her other releases, and it is obvious that she's not very prolific with new material, so I thought a covers album would be better than nothing, since she did some pretty killer covers in concert and on earlier albums, but my God. . .
This was so bad I could finish listening to it. Lifeless, souless, electronic (read "contemporary") remakes of classics from the 60s and 70s. True, your not going to out soul Aretha, but Joan sounded almost like she'd been programmed along with the backing tracks. And don't get me started about the Hendrix cover.
Please add this to the list of worst album by artists you really like category that appears here from time to time.
