Dealer & Distributor: I'm afraid you have forced me to defend the honor of my maiden. It is not just a question of dealing "with less eficiency (83db vs 91) and less ultimate dbs (105 vs 127+)", you will also have to deal with:1) resonances -- the Gilmore speaker panel is made out of corian, making it essentially non-resonant. The custom made panel itself costs us more than the what the LFT8 retails for.
2) inferior bass response vs a new standard in bass response
3) insufficient coherence: non-line source bass array vs line-source bass array
4) a three-way vs a two way design
5) parochial crossover vs state of the art crossover which costs us to make about as much as the entire LFT8 costs
6) non-cardas connectors on all drivers vs cardas connectors on all drivers
7) limited frequency response vs 17HZ to 26kHZ
8) .5 mil milar (hydroscopic and affected by smog, etc) vs .3 mil kapton (essentially inert)Sorry, you are not playing in the same sand box.
