Hi, I'm in the process of buying new amps for my Duos.
I have listened to a pair of 45's some days; Star Chief 45 from Welborne Labs. These monos sound excellent!
Until now I have used them with a BAT VK-51SE, but will later on have the opportunity to test a preamp from Welborne as well, the Ultrapath BP (batterypowered) linestage.

Anyone having any experince with the Star Chief (and eventually the Ultrapath)?
Anyone having other suggestions for other SET-amps?
Price limit (new/used): approx $4000
