k-tube kount 2007 - how many have experienced diy tube?

after a few hundred illustrated posts on these things over the years, one might expect the Mighty Karlson Army to have akumlated few diy tubes and put into aKtion (from kuriosity and simplicity in konstruction - if nothing else)

they're probalby most suitable for ~2Khz xover or so

some tubes tilt ~30 degrees from horizontal per Karlson's "Open ENd Waveguide" patent.

Dave Young made koaxial konversions.

Transylvania Power Company's "The Tube" by Walter Zintz

thinwall pvc 1" tube - thicker tubing might be better with higher spl

pattern for 1" pvc tube

1" diy tube vs an 1.875" ID x 9" long Karlson style tube with a concentric pre-waveguide

X15 copy tube (~7" x 1.875"ID) cloned from John Karlson's X15 ~1966 speaker system which sported a 54oz magnet 15" CTS with 0.28 qts and 41Hz fs
