Sure, we did it for PA all the time. B&C make a nice 8 suitable for horn use, and a nice 12 too. JBL 2118(8), 2123(10), 2012(10), 2020(12), 2202(12), various EV 10, EV 12 are all nice too.

Here is a pair of my EV 12 on a 30" X 20" horn (Altec A7 front size), they sound great. These were from about 1987 or so.

The link goes to an old photoshop image a friend of mine found of some dual 12 (Altec A4 front size) that go to 100hz. I made these about 1981.
