Finally some new midbass front horns...

Hello,
after some back and forth I built some conical front horns based on my last post and discussions / findings in this forum.

These horns are an alternative to my 150Hz Tractrix. They are 77Hz, 3/16 mouth front horns with a conical shape. This is because the simulated difference to initially designed hyperbolic m=0.6 horn seem to be negligible. The horns are built from 40mm MDF. So the horn shell is pretty stiff even without a surrounding box. The driver is an EVM15L.

I just set them up on the weekend. After some listening in the evening I think they blend very nicely into the single Klipschorn I use as a sub (if one can call it like this).

I'm very happy that I got this far with my speakers.

This is mainly due to the inspiration and help by Dr. Bruce Edgar and people here in this forum.

Thanks a lot to you guys.

Erik

PS: There are some more pic's on my HP ("Current System" and "Midbass Horn" section)
