For some unknown reasons, all CD players sound better when the desired music track was selected using the direct access numerical keys just after the disc tray is opened and closed. Press play and skipping to the desired track gives you different sound. Stop and replay the track again also doesn't sound that good. The disc tray has to be opened and closed prior to playing every track. This is sometimes mentioned in some DJ equipment manuals.
