Has anyone else reading this board seen this movie? Superb drama.

I'm afraid you may have to rent it, because judging from the Dallas art house theater scene (neither of the newer Angelika theaters [Dallas and Plano] carried it; rather, it was shown at the older Inwood Theater), it is going to be hard to find. A spellbinding performance by Julia Jentsch.

The following description is from www.rottentomatoes, judiciously edited to perserve as much plot as possible:

"In 1943, as Hitler continues to wage war across Europe, a group of college students mount an underground resistance movement in Munich. Dedicated expressly to the downfall of the monolithic Third Reich war machine, they call themselves the White Rose. Its sole female member . . . is Sophie Scholl . . ."

SOPHIE SCHOLL received three Lolas (German Oscars) including the Audience Award and Best Actress Award to Jentsch for her brilliant characterization of the title role. The film also won two Silver Bears for Best Director and Best Actress at the 2005 Berlin International Film Festival."
