Films/DVD Asylum: Sophie Scholl: The Final Days by townsend

Has anyone else reading this board seen this movie? Superb drama.

I'm afraid you may have to rent it, because judging from the Dallas art house theater scene (neither of the newer Angelika theaters [Dallas and Plano] carried it; rather, it was shown at the older Inwood Theater), it is going to be hard to find. A spellbinding performance by Julia Jentsch.

"In 1943, as Hitler continues to wage war across Europe, a group of college students mount an underground resistance movement in Munich. SOPHIE SCHOLL received three Lolas (German Oscars) including the Audience Award and Best Actress Award to Jentsch for her brilliant characterization of the title role. The film also won two Silver Bears for Best Director and Best Actress at the 2005 Berlin International Film Festival."
